Ok I got a question which might bring up a bit of debate...
My question is, do the two support beams that run through the middle of the roof play much of a role in the overall strength of the vehicle? I can't decide, because of the fact they are simply unbolt-able and not an integrated part of the overall structure. My dad reckons they are there for roll over safety. Reason I am asking is because I have a roof section here with an electric sunroof in it, and installation of the sunroof to my car requires unbolting the two support beams as they are in the way

By adding the sunroof and all the frame you are adding more strength than those piss ant little supports as long as you put the sunroof in properly
