Mum's boot lid on her AU1 XR6 is rusting out big time... Rust must be a real problem on these...

Hey turbo jimmy i've got the same car 07 mk2 tho i've got the CECI electronic rust protection it doesnt work my boot gas strut has fallen off due to rust but its got the corrosion warranty with the CECI thing

AU Series Ones seem to be the big rusters out of all the falcons.... we had an AU1 XR6 come through work where the right boot gas strut mount had rusted that much that the strut mount snapped off the quarter panel and was just dangling on the end of the strut when you open the boot

Glad I went EF back when I was tossing up between AU and EF
