If you can feel the scratches with your fingernail, you can't get rid of them A machine buff would probably be best as it would be alot of work by hand Just make sure that whoever does it buffs in side to side motions as a buff or hand in circular equals big time holograms which are the pits. Ever thought of coating your glass. A claying, polishing with Autosmart glass glow or Poorboys World Pro Polish, scratch removal with Poorboys SSR range and then clearkote vanilla moose hand glaze and either Klasse acrylic sealant glaze or Poorboys EXP pure sealant is wicked on glass. Clearkote chocolate moose wax is great on top of EXP too and front bumpers to make bugs slide off with just water and a cloth Alot of steps but doesn't take that long. I have done that to my glass and after every wash, another coat of EXP. Did 3,000 km's last week to gilgandra NSW and after a detail on monday, you wouldn't think I went anywhere. Glass is ultra slick too. Won't need to use your wipers again afterwards either which is a bonus (unless it's a darwin or gold coast style tropical storm) Could I get a translation of all that in Laymans terms please as I couldn't understand what you were talking about from the second paragraph onwards. All I would recommend is "MEGUIARS X scratch" as if that dont get it out nothing will except a new paint job

u apply it in the same way as you would the polish for the paint , simple...

What just apply it with a wet cloth or something and let it sit there for like 15-20 minutes.

'paint doctor' works well for me avalable at most auto shops
I do my polishing myself on my car just got an orbital polisher and quality polish, takes around an hour to do it and turns out great.

Ok - I got myself some of that Scratch - X stuff.
Got it at Super Cheap for $29.00 with the Wet look Polish and buffing cloth and a little yellow sponge thingy to apply with??? I thought that was a pretty good price.. What is the best way to use this product? Just apply like cut-n-polish.....wait......then buff off??? Also - I always thought circular motions were the best way to do this - but I dont want heaps of swirl maeks / holograms etc... What is the best method....???

Ah not today sunny. Those circular days are over. With today's beautiful but soft finishes, you can do some damage using circular and it takes longer too
Do everything in side to side motion, following the contours/lines of the body. I am 1/5th the way into a complete refinishing project on the car All evening tonight, all day tomorrow and saturday/sunday avo's and paint repair will be done with only daily layering of klasse sg and four star to do after that (about a week) So far the car is about 85% swirl free, can never get it totally swirl free by hand but I'm extremely happy with the finish anyway. I do have a rotary, pads and products but still gotta sharpen my skills with it yet and most cars only need hand application anyway.
