hmmm well after getting f**k over with the non-existant XR bonnet that was sprayed for me, i've had to put the scoops aside.

however, i am getting sick of knowing they're laying in my garage gathering dust, so i've tracked down an XR bonnet - currently in primer black, though its costing me $400 for the bonnet + shipping from east. not cheap, but what has to be done, has to be done! i won't be happy until its all together, so i'm just going to bite the bullet & spend the $$$. i've got some very good deals on other parts for the car so its not too much of an issue to spend $$$ elsewhere.

so, fingers crossed i'll be able to get it all together for Motorvation in mid-Jan next year - bonnet should be here before xmas if all goes to plan...

i had a thought on the pod filters n whatnot, why not make an intake pipe with a bend that angles the pod to directly into the sequental scoop, that would ahve to be good for some cold air? heat sheild the rest, and have the pod poking into the scoop?

shut up! oil leaks are cool! lol

well, i've made $400 on some bets over the weekend, so have covered the cost of the bonnet! :P if the other 2 bets i'm waiting on come through, i'll have the postage covered as well! :) $448- in my account - not too bad considering i started with $30- at the start of the month!

well...

seems i'm destined not to have an XR bonnet on this car  just got a PM from the guy who had the bonnet there for me - a massive gust of wind caught a steel pole in his shed & knocked it over, smacking into my bonnet - so its a no go :x

so, back to square one again - may just leave it as is now :?

EL XR scoops - got them from Johno (SVO XR6) for cheap

Seq scoop - $110 - lid was the same from memory

as for rain, it won't be much of an issue really - i'm yet to hear of any issues from anyone running seq scoops w/ rain! :P
