g'day all, just wondering wat thew price to chuck a shift kit in is worth/??? do they make a big difference to the car?? a guy on ebay's sellin em for 50 bucks, but want to know how much to put it in

about 40 for a auto elecs to do, www.shiftkits.com.au theres come with instructions, or www.jaysrpd.com.au sells a good kit also.

its here because it looks sick when you get sideways in the wet 
I'd get the Jay's RPD plug and play one, can be fitted your self in a matter of minutes, looks neat and factory and can be easily removed only 50 bucks as well IIRC

I got Jay's shift kit a little while ago, strong shifts and chirps into second (haven't had a chance to see into third
 ). The other night I took it out in the wet and it throws the back of the car out lol - definatly recommend Jay's one, so easy and so cheap.

The reason i am asking is i got a Shift kit but had to solder the lines in to the ECU, how does this one connect.
Also if you have this one after you have your accident you can pull it out. |

good for a tenth and a bit down the 1/4 mile
highly reccommend the RPD shift kit. best $50 you'll ever spend. probably not a good idea to leave it on all the time. cheers lockz

do shift kits prolong the life of a tranny,i've seen them on ebay and they state longer life and less failure as the bands don't gently slip in which cause wear??

i reakon thats a load of BS .no real mechanical reason behind that statement , but chuck one in your car and u can tell that leaving it on for a prolonged amount of time can only be a bad thing. get one u can turn off.
