Where's the best place in Sydney or the Net to start researching some 20" wheel for an EF.
I've seen Tempee Tyres has some, but am interested in seeing what other styles are around.

20" wheels would look stupid on an ef, why bother

your nuts, wouldnt you say thats a bit overboard? would they even fit??? why stop there? why not put some jerry cans on the back? and maybe a tow rope on the front hahaha, just playing,

now now, so have you got a pic of an EF with 20"?? im pretty sure they dont fit though, highest you can go is like 18" right? iv never heard of anyone over that

You so realise with 20's that your very much prone to get a flat tyre or buckle a wheel quite often.

Theres a lot of places around, thought to call around maybe or just pop into the 1000s of places on every main road lol?

Also the rolling diameter will a) make u take off a f**k slower, b) look like a stupid habib, c) put your speedo out

Anyone ever heared of 30 series tyre's

I've had a look in the charts and 20" 30's are only about 10mm-25mm bigger (depending on if they are 225's or 245's) in diameter than my standards 225 16" 50's. It will help fill in up the wheel arches a tiny bit more (not enough though) as well.

If i'm going to upgrade to suit big brakes, I figure that I may as well go the whole hog.

I looked in your gallery and those BA GT wheels look pretty good on your car, they're only an inch smaller than what i'm talking about here.

i was sure they were 18s

rapier might be tasmanian, but calling him a tool is going a bit far when you wanna put 20"s on an EF

big brakes may mean big wheels, but you're gonna have issues with the rego authorities with brakes big enough to require a 20" rim, nevermind the dramas of finding someone who will supply a engineered brake kit that's that size..... i mean, you can get 330mm discs inside 17"s, so what do you want? 400mm discs?

an even bigger problem is the cost..... 20" wheels and tyres are gonna set you back a MINIMUM of $3k, plus the costs associated with getting approval and an engineers certificate or report for wheels that are 4" larger in diameter than the largest factory option, then factor in a new set of tyres every 3-6 months, plus repairs to the wheels from potholes, dodgy roads, etc

you say you want them so you can get big brakes...... a half decent 330mm disc and 4 piston caliper setup is gonna cost at least a couple of grand, so how much do you think anything bigger is gonna cost, especially if it uses parts that are neither availible off the shelf, nor are they approved for that application

last but not least so far is insurance........ have you phoned your insurance company and asked them if you're allowed 20" rims? my bet is they'll laugh themselves sick, and possibly cancel your policy just for kicks

grab a coffee, sit down, think this lot through, have a bit of a reality check, and come back asking about 17"s or 18"s

Wow that must have taken a while to type.

What I am saying is that my 16's are too small for a brake upgrade and I want to go the whole hog if i'm changing wheels.
My insurance company dont care as long as its engineered.
And this is a company registered car that I can bill it as that, not out of my pocket, and I dont drive the car that much anyway.

Now back to the original question, does anybody know where I can view different syle wheels other than the Tempi Tyres web site.

20" rims will fit JET XR has them and he used spacer to fit them to

For cruising around, i'd say go 19s.

There is a red EF XR going around, and I am pretty sure that has 20" white DCorsa rims on it. I'll try and find a pic - it was at the All Ford Day in Geelong.
