the reverse scoops that are popular in the US look horn. see some of the drag racing fox-body mustangs, they are normally supercharged with this great big reverse scoop. looks awesome.

You could make a 'trap' to take advantage of the high pressure at the base of the windscreen by making an angine cover that directed all the air in a repositioned air box/filter. Similar to the old group 3 commodores or the walkies.

I was seriously contemplating having a 'vertical' mount turbocharger in my Silvia when I owned it (so the inlet would be pointed up towards the bonnet and exhaust straight down), but then I found the bearings would be shot in no time as a few WRC had experimented with this set up.

am I wrong or is that just a photoshop effort, I though he was deciding whether to do it or not?? Or am I wrong, like Walter Sobchak?

How do you go with the legalities of blacked out indicators?

do you really want BA XR8/GT/GT-P drivers laughing at your attempts to copy them before leaving you in a cloud of smoke?

couldn't care less what they think about my ideas, i havnt spent $70k on a car that i'm too scared too touch coz i'd risk my warrenty :)
i'm sure i'd get laughed at just as much for having BA XR side skirts and a BA XR rear bumper.

I'm unsure on the plastic welding side of it, i know some types of plastic cannot be plastic welded.
I'm pretty sure the plastic used on VY HSV's etc can't be done, they have to do it some other way.

EA-ED fronts ar very square and thus something with the same kinda shape needs to be used, either that or the bumper made slightly squarer to make it fit properly.

Its not a hard thing to do, and plenty of ideas can be made.
the guy with the proposed WRX front bar on his EA is a friend of mine, the idea of which came from my attemps of doing other things.

THe original idea was to do what uglybob just mentioned, make a GLi with NL turning lamps.

here are the photoshops that helped me decide :P

the blacked out headlight covers are just a when i feel like it thing, i only fit em for cruises etc, depends what i feel like on the day :P
the only parts of that pic that are photoshopped are the grill (deffinately will happen) and the bulge (possibility due to the responce) i'm wishing i'd used a newer pic though as i have the BA Ghia turning lamps on it now.

I'd go that dramatic if I could back it up with the power!

But nowadays, people go for looks more that grunt, so I guess it'll be fitting.

Are you going to go the BA boot wing also?

I reckon it looks awesome, those BA bulges are horn.
BTW, I've done several photoshops of a cut out grill you gave there. I even drove around for a few weeks with a black duct tape 'hollow grille' to see how it'd look. LOL
