Hey everyone,
I'm faced with a lil dilema here. Last week some nice thoughtful person decided to reverse into me, leave 2k damage and drive off with no note so i've been looking at getting my car all fixed up. There are a few things that need to be done but don't know if its worth respraying my car (especially with the lack of respect most people have these days!) Things that need to be repaired are... front left qtr panel, front right of my tub, both doors have lil dents in them and one of the hold down things on the tailgate has been pulled out a bit. Also scratchs everywhere else. So is it worth getting the whole car done while i'm at it? |

It depends on whether you are happy with your current colour... You have got to remember that completely respraying a car involves inside doors, inside bonnet and boot and all the other fiddly little places that would usually have to be resprayed if you were only fixing external panels.
Also... Conside a body kit while your going to all the effort???

Sorry, i meant respray it the same colour I have to pretty much get half the car sprayed/blended so is it worth while doing the whole thing?
And i'm not too keen on the bodykit, was going to do it (and trying to sell one now) but got over it. All i was thinking was a hardtop and boss bonnet |

Just take it into an honest panel beaters and say... "would I be better off respraying my whole car?" ... They'll tell ya. From the sounds of it a full respray would be just as easy.

Mate its acid rush.. the whole car will probably have to be resprayed to get it to match anyhow!
My mate had an acid rush XR6T ute that had to be painted 3 times to match after a prang on the front. |

That's why i was thinking of a respray glenn. I know its a prick of a colour and didn't want like 3 colours on it What are some reasonable figures for a full respray?
And what are ppls thoughts on a black boss bonnet? Or should i just keep it all the same colour? |

Ye i was thinking of doing the roof too, not sure if i should go as far as the hardtop though.
easpak91, that's what i'm afraid of! People are f**k these days. But its got lots of scratchs all over it (mainly from the previous owner) so i think it would look even worse having half a nice car, half scratched and 3 different shades |
