just remember if u want them looking really big, the FR18s run the same centre as the FR17s - meaning the 'star' is still noticeably smaller than the FR19 - which are specifically designed for a 19inch application only.
that said, my brother runs fully polished FR18s on his EL and that looks tuff.

Are you serious??? IM STOKED!!
I have gold-centered FR17s on my elxr but would kill for the FR18's!
So going by what you said can i just replace the 'outer part' of the rims to convert them to the 18" version?????? I hope so! :)

Get this... and i almost sold them not too long ago to some guy that spotted them on my car at a servo who wanted to buy them then and there, lol!

I'm guessing you might have to replace the innner and outer pieces. Even if you only had to replace the Outer piece, it still definately wouldn't be a cheap exercise.
I'd be reckoning around the $1000+mark to change the outer to new polished ones.

agreed, you'd probably come out cheaper if you sold the 17s and stepped up to a complete set of 18s

Thats a bugger!
So what do you reckon a set of gold-centered FR17s would go for with goodyear eagle f1s on em (90% rubber)???

Cheers guys.

Probably around the $1500-$2000 mark. Probably more towards the 2k mark, as they have almost new tyres.

simmons are very expensive but i must admit you can not go wrong with them on ANY falcon. any car for that matter, they just always look good.

I agree, they look good, no matter what model Falcon. I mean I still find it weird that a design that is as old as they are, looks that good on new and old cars alike.
