Hello all, noobie here with my first post:
Below you will see my 4.0L 98' Forte AU, its nothing special compared to the ones i seen here but i thought i'd show i anyways... nothing whatsoever has been done to the engine except a 2.5" pipe all the way through with a turbo muffler, thats pretty much it, because it was too quiet lol, but now it sounds just like a v8, i couldnt believe how close to an 8 it actually sounds like, i have had so many people ask me if it was a V8 and so close to say yeah but dont want to look stupid when they want to pop the hood hahaha, I bought this about 7 years ago so it was about 3 years old and had 50k on the clock and was in mint condition, it was actually just all standard with normal everyday wheels and normal ride height and with the pathetic smiley teeth grill, so i said to the dealer i will buy this from you if you change the grill and lower it with 17" XR wheels and tinted windows as i wasnt really interest in it standard i wasnt concerned about walking away but strangely enough they said ok, that was my rules or im walking which i was going to anyways since i knew they wouldnt do it but they did which blew me away, so for only $1000 more on the price they did it all and had a big key scratch down the driver side from bumper to bumper which they also resprayed so i had to wait for about a week an a half before i get it haha total price at thay time was $23,000, worth well under $10,000 now lol about 2 years ago after the tyres had their fair run on the road worn out to practically slicks (very unroadworthy *coffs*), i put 235's all around from 225's originally i replaced the stereo with my pioneer cd player which was about 10+ years old its still perfect and i had it in 3 different cars i have bought hahaha just kept taking it out and into the next car... but thats all i have had done, so what you see is what you get..... I recently bought another car so i will more likely sell the AU later on, the car i recently bought is a Dark Grey 2003 BA Fairlane Ghia 5.4L Barra 220 and fully optioned like electrics windows and seats with memory and full leather and wood grain etc this has so far had only a few things done but will do more later, i only have had the car a few days lol, and its just had some 18" rims put on and lowered with 235's on the front and 255's on the back, and just today had it all tinted with the darkest legal tint possible, but me stupid didnt take a photo of it before i did it all, but i will post a photo of it soon also in mint condition and looks awesome i love fords tee hee, hope you will like it when i post it here soon........ tell you the truth i havent seen alot of BA Fairlanes and LTD's thats been lowered with mag wheels mostly because i guess that some models have pretty nice rims anyways especially the LTD's but once i got mine lowered and 18"s put on wow was my first thought some plans later is to maybe put di-filipo or whatever its called extractors with a twin pipe to get the V8 note out of it as its very quiet unless you plant your foot then she opens up a bit and if you buy a V8 it needs to be heard, i also may put a bonnet buldge lid on it just for looks but thats a no hurry..... (photo coming) TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK OF THE AU ???? all comments welcome |

I reckon that kit lowered on 17inch+ rims looks unbeatable.

HEY GLENNBA,
Bloody Awesome BA man, BA = BLOODY AWESOME, just a question and or anyone who knows, i want to get that strip/lip that you got on your boot you know the ultra small spoiler about 2cm high lol, is there a name or part number for it, does Ford sell it or is it an after market jobby, i want it for my BA fairlane, im tossing up to get the GTP wing or that little lip thing you got, yeah big difference hahaha but i more likely go the one your got as a GTP wing may cost a bit of cha-ching and my fairlane would look like a GTP limo hehe, but what you got is awesome im no holden/hsv person but they even look good on the HSV statesmen, its just suits it right, big wings dont always look good on all cars.... any help would be great thanks buddy...... or email me details how to get it........ zro_dfects@hotmail.com GlennBA wrote: Heres mine with the SR kit on. I still need those fairmont bumper lights and its getting lowered to ultra low height this week.

It's the spoiler from a Force6 or Force8.
So it'd probably costs MORE than a GT wing. There's some aftermarket places that do them, and they appear on ebay on occasion.

Ok the moment you all been waiting for as promised, i posted some pics of my silver AU about 5 posts up, and mentioned i bought a 2003 BA Fairlane Ghia V8 5.4L VCT Barra 220kw, and had some stuff done like lowered sports suspension and 18" FTRW rims with 235's on the front and 255's on the back, and recently got tinted windows and like i mentioned in the post me stupid didnt take a photo before it was all done, oh well still looks sweet, anyways in all its glory, hope you like the pics below......
Just some future add-ons i will get further down the track not for a few months or so atleast anyways: Electric sunroof (maybe) Tiny little boot spoiler strip simular seen on the HSV statesman DVD and GPS with a new full color replaced screen (from these fellas (www.asllogistics.com) Extractors twin 2.5in chimneys all the way through bonnet buldge (maybe - custom like this one or simular www.aggressiveautopanels.com/barinfo.htm) thats all i can think of at this stage, wont do much to the engine i cant be f**ked hahaha and i more likely get pulled over so whats the point im not gonna race the thing i just want it to look and sound a treat thats all....
