Can anyone provide a small list of 17-18 inch wheel/tyre combinations that will fit under a DL (30mm low) thanks

Any rim 7" - 8" (you can get 9" under the rear but check first) with a 114.3 PCD with a 0mm to +6mm offset.

a 245 wide tyre goes nicely over a 8" rim.. much wider and you start getting bulging sidewalls

you might be able to find a 255 wide tyre and get away with it but imo 265 or 275 on 8" rim looks wrong..

a 9" rim will take 265 or 275 without looking silly..

why do you want such a wide tyre??

You can get 9's on the front and 10.5's on the rear.....

And they don't rub on the upright? 215 60 16's do!

Just out of interest, any ideas on how high an offset can be run with a 9" wheel on the front before fouling the upright?

Haven't really had a chance to check what sort of clearance there is to make use of up front, but thought you might know as you seem to know your width/offset fitments quite well

Been looking at a few wheel combo's recently, namely Varrstoen ES2's (staggered fitment 9" front/9.5" rear) in +12 offset. Offset calculator shows it will have a little more poke to fill the guards a bit nicer, but would also sit in a little bit more than my current 8" +6 wheels. Would probably end up using a 5mm slip-on spacer front and rear to close up the tyre wall to guard gap if I got these wheels anyway.

19x9 +12 will clear by about 4mm. A mate has 19x8.5 +15 and has 8mm clearance from the tyre to the upright. I had 18x8.5 -4 and I had 30mm clearance to the upright.

Thats really interesting and quite handy to know!

I've been looking at heaps of rims that are 9" up front at +12 but have been worried about whether they'd fit or not.

I've used willtheyfit.com or something like that and while its fairly accurate, I was still a bit iffy.

Thanks for clearing that up 8-)

Awesome to hear! Cheers for the info dude, it's a massive help! Looks like there is plenty of wheel options to choose from now after hearing that :)

Yep plenty of options. I'm going 18x9 +10 and 18x11 +10 for my next set of wheels.
