i know m8 but you can get New Old Stock of simmons still if you look around they are rare and people do pay the $4k price tag...i have spotted fakes on ebay its pretty obvious as they have more nuts/screws than they should for that size of rim or they dont have simmons australia written on them (some of them do so watch out check details against ones you know are genuine)

atleast the dent is in the place were you can bang it back out its a careful slow process then you gotta sand that spot as and paint it up and buffer and blend the paint as when you go to hit the dint out it will crack and paint thats how you know its in the correct spot you may require some bog if you cant get it perfect it does take practice to knock out dents perfectly you also require a professional kit to get them out perfectly but it is possible :-)

what mods would be needed to fit this to just a eli gli its on the new gel website but it says its made to suit fairmonts so im geussin bonnet and lights would need to be changed. are the mounting brackets diffrent between the gli and the fairmont

http://www.newgel.com.au/ford.htm

if you go to www.ssv.com.au you can get a piece that fits onto the bumper so it can be fitted onto a gli or go to www.phatcustomkits.com and they make it for the gli

nice car, those 18" or 19" wheels?

paint yer black side strips red mate (same colour as car), would look very clean...

I would also tint the rear taillights a bit (I know its wanky but it would match your car)
