Wikwok, looks excellent mate, I love the colour. I'm jealous of the wheels, can they still be bought new? I'd be ordering a set tomorrow. Probably my favourite E-Series wheel. I like the V8 conversion too, its something different these days with all of the turbo 4L's getting around.

Sipheren, that Ghia is beautiful mate. I spent ages trying to find a good ED Ghia, ended up with an NF V8 but I'm still slightly jealous. How much of a difference did the Explorer manifold make?

Haha, that's crazy!
although this is the first I've heard of a Brock fairlane, there's probably Brock wagons too!
xr style seats, xr steerwheel and sports suspension.
That "signed" plate and the "16 of 24 built" angle will keep his price high. In a way it is and isn't worth any more than a standard fairlane Ghia or LTD. It would be worth buying and restoring, but not for resale value.
Its a pity these cars will never reach te elite level of the GTHO in collectors terms.

I can understand a want for this car, but it is just a tweaked standard model with a plate on it.

but thats all the GT's were.. a tweeked stock model. granted its no GT but it is rare in its own way.

that car hasnt been taken care of at all so everything would need replacing on it which would cost way too much.

i dont think there was any wagons but there was a few sedans.

I'm not saying it isn't special, it's unique in it's own way, that's why I was sayin it's a pity they won't be like the GTs raking in 100k in 10 years time.

It has gone to the dogs a bit. Needs a motor and a paint job, interior seems alright.

There was a Brock sedan auto for sale in Alice springs in a yard. Automatic I6, nice blue colour, $6,000!
At first I didn't realize it was anything special but the car yard owner insisted it was a rare car blah blah, and wouldn't move from that price.

I had 4g cash, an he wouldn't take it so I got a VB commodore. Spewin...

Basically, I would love to own one, but I wouldn't pay a stupid price for somthing just because it has a famous name on it. (yes I know that's the whole point of the high price)
It's a pity thats the mentality of the world though.
