Attachment: IMG_0863.jpg Attachment: IMG_0860.jpg Dude that look awesome, pretty much how I want my EB to look, what shocks and springs are you using? Thanks for that. They are King Springs Super Lows, with Camber Kit and Shorten Shocks. I do like the look but, it does scrape on majority of speed humps and I need to do an angle on my driveway to get up and down. Just a few things to think about before you do it. Nathan Hmmm would going low at the front be slightly better then?, wanna get the rear low like that. To be honest, im not sure if you can see in the photo but the back rear (because of how i reverse out of the drive way) scrapes and a few items underneath scrape (i have raised the exhaust to a happy medium, not too low and not touching metal!). I love the look, but at times i think about raising it an inch just to enjoy it a little more. If you cruising by all means low is good.....BUT.....if you taking it to shopping centres, drive-in, residential streets etc on a regular basis, just weigh up the scrapes Nathan

Well, over the weekend, the racecan made its debut, First outing was a supersprint at Wakefield Park.
I couldn't be bothered at this point doing a build thread for the track hack, so I will just put up a few pics and a short blurb on what has been done. So, after campaigning a V12 XJS Jaguar for a few years with my father inlaw, we got sick of s**t breaking and having a hard time both working on it and sourcing parts for it. So we started joking around and started talking about doing a 4.0 EF 5 speed. Well, we purchased the car.. $500!! No rego, that did not matter a bit as we have a car trailer. So, what has been done to "track prep" it? Not much. A full service, including new plugs, leads, coil pack, air oil and fuel filters, walbro 225 fuel pump. Almost all this stuff I had sitting on the parts shelf. The car was then put on a diet and we gutted the f**k but retained a few creature comforts, we all know how important it is for your track car to have air con and a factory stacker in the boot. An adjustable rear sway bar has been installed, new watts linkage and the cherry on the cake, a tru trax diff with 3.45 gear set. The brakes had new dot 5.1 fluid put through the system, but the HD pads that were installed were sadly not up to task and faded dismally after 2 and a bit laps. BENDIX SRT's are to be installed, braided lines have also been acquired in hope of maximising the braking system without changing the actual hardware. A set of slotted rotors will also be added. In total, the car does not owe us any more than maybe 3k. Its grassroots motorsport, its not ment to break the budget. I have donated a set of Nitto Invo's until we get the suspension sorted, just so we do not chew out a set of semi slicks needlessly. I was also fortunate enough to pick up the 17's for a bargain price. Next step in development will be getting the brakes sorted. The car gets dual entered so it backs up between 2 drivers pretty quickly. After brakes are up to standard, suspension and tyres will be the focal point. I was able to bank a lap time that was almost a second faster than an ex saloon car, a pretty well sorted EF. Our goal is 1.16 at wakefield. For a 6 banger, it performed well above expectation on the day, apart from one popped radiator.

As some may have gathered, there have been a few people contribute to this build, either by supplying parts or assistance in putting them in, or both! The track pig would not be without the help of those who have kicked in and helped, it truly is appreciated and the car would not be where it is now without your help. Everything from parts to stickers to elbow grease has been willingly contributed, all in good fun as well, I have just decided to do a track build that was all about having fun and not really a technical exercise, if she goes pop, we will just drop another engine into the hole. Its an e series afterall, I've spent enough time with them to understand how to set up the suspension and how to squeeze a bit more out of them but also retain reliability.

I'd love to get into this some day the same way you have, as cheap as possible with a falcon, it looks fun Out of curiosity do you know how much it weighs gutted of its interior and stuff?
