costs are in the range of $700-$800 per rim retail in one of the 5 standard colours, fully polished add another $150 per rim, they can custom colour match also. I did alright and got mine when they first came out, now everyone is chasing them and prices have shot-up, saved myself about $800. Would still buy them regardless, these are my 5th set of simmons so i am a bit of a fan.

How light are they? My mate had a set of 16" on his vn & you could pick them up with your little finger..

they are pretty light, the new dishes vary from 4-5mm thickness, even fully inflated 19s r easier to pickup than stockie 16s. The serious racers can order the wheels with either an option 2 or 3 code, this will reduce weight by up to 2kg per wheel again.

Hey Ratman, I thought I recognised your car from the SM article. Looks great!

I'm interested in your rear suspension setup. I have my EF Ghia dumped on superlows and standard Monroe GT shocks with 18's and it doesn't sit quite as low as yours. The main problem seems to be shocks bottoming out too early on the Tickford bumpstops. Are you running shortened or custom shocks?

Cheers, Mike

There's 3 problems right there as to why you'rs wont sit as low as Ratmans.
1. You only have Superlows, no Ultralows.
2. THe shortened shocks shouldn't really affect the height, but they are a good idea if going that low.
3. You only have 18's where he has 19's, so they'll appear to be tucking a bit more.
Best bet, would be to get the shortened shocks, and ultralows in the rear.

Thanks, but I don't think I was getting my point across well enough. My main problem is the shocks bottoming out. It is actually on Ultralows, sorry, and doesn't have any problem with the tailshaft hitting the body.

I was wondering what shocks Ratman is running; they must be severely shortened to allow ANY suspension travel at that height! Hopefully he'll let us know.

Hah, it's funny when I'm running 'only' 18s these days! :)

Mike

to answer the shocks question, it runs koni's on the rear, they have been revalved and are a short shock body, my suspension guy gets all our shocks reset at some factory in Albury - don't quote me but i think its from here : http://www.proven.com.au
the bump stops have been trimmed also, hope that helps

my sujestions are
1. paint the garnish white and fit a falcon badged from an EB (without the GL)
2. remove the rear modflaps
3. get clear front indicators. white cars look magical with them.

and 4. keep up the great work. looks awesome
