Done a search and could not realy find any pics like what I am looking for.

I'm keen to see what people have done to their engine bay to make it look better.
I'm going to give mine a clean soon and might get some of those blue hoses from pole position, paint the rocker cover and buy some chrome piping for the intake :D any other idea's?

what have you all done? doesnt matter if its onnly something small anything would be good to see :)

Any model car welcome :D

This is my 3.9 litre EA engine!

Image

A shiny red rocker cover, serpentine belt conversion, XH snorkel and extractors, and it doesn't look too bad. The leads look pretty messy at the moment though.

yeah, it's telling lies :P

It looks like an AU engine but it isn't one.

Also EDXRSW, that has to be the first time I've seen an EF belt cover combined with a clutch fan. I thought the covers didn't fit the 3 belt setup?

Well spotted ea_silver_ghia your right they dont fit, but i didnt want to change to the serpintine (wrong spelling) setup because of originality so i modified an EF cover then made a mould from it and made it from fibreglass, just like the airbox lid and snorkle.

EDXRSW

Awesome job. The belt covers look great. If the 3 belt setup is doing the job (not throwing power steering belts like mine was), there's no point changing it.

are the belt covers attached to anything other than the top of the power steering thing and a bolt near the thermostat?
i want to fit one on my AU or is it too much work to be bothered?

That's all that holds it! Piss easy to fit.

You can call it either. They should be able to tell. I just grabbed mine from pick-a-part. They only charged me $5 and you also have to make sure you have the right bolt in the thermostat housing.
