Dude!! looks sick as!! change the light globe to green ;) would look mean as haha

Good job on the painting :)

thanks champ!
i would have like a red for a more agressive look however the police in queensland are really strict on coloured lights on the outside of a vehicle as i found out the hard way as i had a blue led strip under the bonnet that shined through the front grille a bit giving the ford badge a background glow.
anyway got pinged for that and had it explained to me that only emergency vehicles are aloud to use coloured lights of any sort outside their vehicles. we can only use white led's apparently.
so maybe some nice white hid's down the track.

also some of you guys might like to google a another thread "another xr6 goes 200rwkw" its a good read for anyone modding a n/a xr6 towards the end of the thread there are a few tough na fg xr6s with head work big cams and some interesting air intake mods. there are videos aswell so you can hear this things idle. after getting involved in that thread it definately has cemented my plans for mine and she goes in the monday after next for stage 4 atomic cams, atomic valve springs, underdrive install, full herrod ss exhaust - headers, cat, catback, xcall 3 plus full custom tune.
Then possibly a stage 4 atomic head down the track.

fingers crossed i break the 200rwkw.

cheers.
chris.

I was reading a topic like that on the ford Australia forums. I don't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure it broke 220. It also had a s**t load of stuff done to it.

Yea I looked at putting green ones on my car, and got told it would attract a lot of unwanted attention.
So I'm just gunna put them in the foot wells.

much appreciated mate.

@mcinnesfg - when are you looking to get yours tuned brother? I reckon she would make good numbers with now that she is breathing so well with your exhaust.

Chris.

At the moment not too sure. Bout to go on holidays for a week, then after that should be on the cards :)
But shouldn't be hard.
First I gotta put something on the exhaust for the drone. I've been told with a restrictor or a hot dog

hotdog/ restrictor/ resonator all are one in the same im pretty sure so yeah but its an easy fix so get on it.
should get some cams aswell man haha cant wait to get mine they sound so nice and lumpy at idle.

youtube ford fg xr6 idle and you will see what i mean lol. its another bloke from another forum and he has stage 4 atomic cams exhaust and tune and he makes 170rwkw but thats on a 09 with the five speed auto. cant wait for two weeks to be up so i can pick mine up with cams and all that other work lol.

should be awesome with the tune and exhaust. Has anyone actually worked out hw to put on headers/extractors WITHOUT the engine light coming on.

Does the engine light come on due to using an aftermarket O2 sensor?

I'll post up some pics of mine tonight in its current stage of modding..Before and after :)

Engine light comes on because the sensors a reading different to stock tune when youve got a high flowing exhaust my exhaust bloke reckons he can do it so the light doesnt come on ill ask him how when i pick my car up on monday arvo :)

mate cannot remember for the life of me which brand of exhaust came up with it however there is at least one brand that has adapted their full exhaust systems to house the original ford o2 sensors in the exact same places in the aftermarket exhaust as they would be on the stock ford pipes and apparently there is no problems when this is done.
i found a thread once talking about it and it pics of the sensor adapter/ mount.

Chris.
