hey all

i've got an EF sedan in argon silver, and have done things such as clear side indicators, removed the mouldings, etc - so it looks pretty clean and tidy. i want a pretty smooth look - i've got the low-profile XR6 spoiler, and will be going the XR front-end soon - but am looking for some side skirts. anyone got some opinions on ones they reckon don't look too wild or anything? i'd rather stay away from the XR ones, as most people seem to have them - i want something slightly different from normal, but still pretty sleek and smooth... suggestions?

cheers

dont the BA XR side skirts fit the EF without too much modding????
I think EF Falcon has done it, and once they are cut to size they pretty much clip straight on..........????

Fraser you've prolly been there already but have a look at SSV.com.au

Few styles there - XR, tickford and venom.

Also ones they just call side skirts - very simple (dont like to use the word plain  ) but may be what you're after.

yeah have seen EFFalcons job - and a very tidy job it is, but i think they will be a bit out of place, as i dont have any other BA front or rear bars on mine! :P

i was looking at the F-50 skirts from spoilershop.com.au for my last car, but i think they are a bit too much for this one...

so they are in the falcon section martin? i'll pop over to ssv and have a look...

Yeah mate, i wouldnt rate the site 10/10 for layout/navigation but they're in there somewhere, lol.

I think - body kits supply, ford, ef-el falcon and go from there.

yep got it - they dont look too bad eh - i actually really like those venom skirts as well - have just found out spoilershop over here does them as well - so would be able to save on postage at least!

so opinions - either the plain skirts, or the venom ones - what do people reckon?

the Venom side skirts or 'Mondeo Style' (SSV) side skirts would prolly suit

frank suggested the same with the AU skirts as well - just something to cover up the lip of the car as such. hmmm... might have to pop a PM off to xrdismantler and see what he says!

BA XT side skirts would be easier to fit then AU ones.
BA ones are longer then EF ones.
AU ones are shorter then EF ones.

mmm.. that would be an issue. is it a reasonabley simple job to cut them down, or would i be better off just getting pre-made ones? i.e. ones designed for EF's?

well they're not hard to modify to suit an EF.
but obviously there is still going to be an initial price... then modifcations ontop of that.
if there was a set of side skirts that was going to suit my front/rear bars without me getting BA ones, then i would have done that.

i'd only go BA ones if there isnt any available that you like.

well just got a quote back from ssv.com:

Thank you for your enquiry.
The side skirts part no:0505 will cost you $350 inc. delivery.

Regards

which doesn't sound too bad to me! these are for the plain skirts, not the venom ones - i'd be looking at another $100+ for those, which i'm not too sure is really worth it... thoughts?
