Got slimline vic plates for the sprint, put em on and was happy until... the other day, pulling in to carport after work in the fairmont, I notice something weird under the rear plate.
Upon closer inspection, it appears ford decided that the average Joe requires that numberplate mounting instructions be permanently EMBEDDED INTO THE REAR BOOT GARNISH!!!
So now the words "TO ATTACH NUMBERPLATE" are clearly visible beneath the plate. i was thinking of getting a steel plate(or something), and paintmatching it to the rear garnish and mounting the plate on that? what do you guys think?

Didnt think of using a plate altho still rather it as is, more stock/made to fit.

I might also go back to Vicroads and see if I can get one large plate. But then I get one Slim on front, and one on back with all the "Victoria-On the move" s**t. That was the only reason i went slims.

If you dont want that Victoria on the move s**t then go customs, considerably more expensive i know but you will love em, one of the best mods ive done to a car

They can NOT be sanded down - DO NOT DO THIS!

Its not just ugly/stupid to deface your plates but also illegal to modify or hide any part of your licence plate, cops will pick this type of thing up quick smart!

Because of the rear boot garnish I got one large plate and one slimline for mine, but they are custom so I don't have to worry about the Victoria on the move s**t.

See vicroads and just get an extra plate made up, tell them that it was stolen and you need a replacement. I know if plates look f**k and you can't read them properly, if they are less than ten years old you can get free reissued plates from vicroads, otherwise you have to pay for them
