Hopefully it should look very similar to that, the only thing I've chopped is my rims onto it, the grill, the BA skirts and the colour.
Day 2 on fitting the kit is proving to be far from straight forward. I'm taking lots of photos and if there's any interest I might make a doco for anyone else looking at fitting a similar kit. The rear bar is on, sort of... Again, there were lots of mounts and s**t on the bar that didn't come in the bars I have (which are essentially bare external shells) There's a slight gap as shown below, I suspect because I left off one of one of the little slide mounts (it's going to be hard to fit, so I tried it without it) Still, I guess I'm doing ok because the bodykit guy said it'd be hard to fit, and that he was phoned by 3 panel shops trying to fit this kit in the past. He gave me the number of a competent guy though if I do get stuck. If it was a newer car and I wasn't respraying the lot, paying $800 to have it sprayed and fitted would be a wise investment. Side skirts test fitted I think I'll have the rear springs reset an inch lower, but I'll wait and see how I get on with teh sideskirts as they'll be the lowest point on the car now. Pity they're in that horrible blue primer, I can't drive around with them on like that in the mean time! The ghetto look of the front and rear bars doesn't bother me tho, and I actually had a random walk up to me today in a carpark and ask where I got my front bar. That's 2 strangers in 24 hours, and one was a cop... haha

Good stuff
i always hear bad stories of fitting aftermarket kits... i'm amazed at how bad it can be. Good luck getting it all fitted up correctly its lookin' good so far. i found with my side skirts that the door sills still sat at about the same height as the side skirt itself, so i think won't have anything to worry about unless i scrape my door sills (done that before ) do your BA skirts clip over the door sill under the car (meaning no screws)?

No these ones definitely don't clip over and will need a few screws and plenty of persuasion to go on
The top of the skirt "rests" about where the rubber strip is on the sill (as seen with the door open) but the bottom just hangs in the air Mine has the section that sticks on onto the front guard moulded into the skirt as well so I guess I'll urethane that onto the guard and whack a few screws into each end in the wheel arches (not much metal to screw into though!) The skirts sit quite a bit lower. Looking at the car side on the front and back bars are almost level with the bottom of the sills now with no skirts. I'll get more pics later once I have a crack at fitting them (need to get a mate over to give me a hand)

What's the score ?
Car 1 Sunday 0 I spent most of sunday messing around trying to get the stupid skirts on. One side went on relatively easy but the other side was about 2mm too short (don't forget they were custom cut and shut) In the end after jamming and grinding bits off I ended up cracking a piece off (right at the back going into the arch, it shouldn't stand out) and made a small metal bracket to screw the skirt onto the car. They tend to angle down and despite my best efforts they're still tilted down slightly at the back. There's so many drill holes in the car and skirts now that there isn't much room left to correct it! lol I'm thinking maybe a longer bracket bolted under the car and pushing the bottom of the skirt out may work. You can see the slight tilt in the photos - does it look bad or would it go pretty un-noticed ? I'm very concious of it so it's hard to tell. The spat thingo bits which go on the rear arch don't fit particularly well either so I may have to try and make new ones of those or heavily go to town on the current ones I've had made up. They were made from scratch to try and fit the car - I guess they must have fitted at one point! but maybe the skirt wasn't on square when it was being held up and measured ?? The rear wing is starting to grow on me and IMO looks good from this angle (note the car us up on the jack there so it normall sits lower than that) The other drama now is the a*** sits way up in the air! The rear bar looks good from the back but side on it's sitting alot higher than the skirts (which are pretty level with th front bar) Not sure if there's anything I can do about that and if so it'd be ALOT of stuffing around trying to extend the rear bar an inch or 2 lower in towards the wheel arches... I could lower the back an inch but that'll also drop the rear of the skirts down too... hmm edit: if you're wondering about that ding in my rear quarter that's where I was fitting the rear suspension a while back and the jack collapsed and sent the car falling sideways into the side of the garage wall! Obviously I'll bash that out before I paint it

Unfortunately that's ALOT easier said than done. I think it's beyond me so I'd have to take it somewhere and pay someone an assload to do it... I wouldn't mind losing that grove in the side but I think it'd be hard to cleanly and smoothly extend the bar down and blend it into the rest of it

Hey,
If you go with the wing, we will both be able to achieve lift off at maximum thrust next time we race. Maybe we will need a runway instead. Shugg |

haha, when I bought the kit the guy was trying to sell the benefits of the wing and the extra downforce it provides on the highway

honestly....
i hate the rear. the front is ok, i don't love it, but it suits the car ok. the side skirts are FANTASTIC. deffinately suit the car and are one of the best parts of the kit. but yeah, rear bar is too rounded and small, not suited to the rest of the car. suprise how small it looks actually.
