any one tried soda blasting plastic bumpers, is there any other way of removing paint other than spending hours sanding

paint stripper, probably better on plastics than blasting, use a low corrosive type and you shouls be ok.

ive read that paint strippers leave chemicals on plastics and that they soak into the plastic

u never seen soda blasting in action have u



if u dont/cant blast it

use a a*** grade paper 1st ie 250 ish :)

then work ya way up oe 600 then 1200 et c

As far as I know, you can get plastics soda blasted. It doesn't do any damage to the plastics. Sand blasting however is another story.

yup

u can soda blast coke cans and it wont damage the can at all ( this is an EMPTY can )

PPG Bumper Stripper works good for me
If you dont prep the bare plastic correctly before hifill/paint you will find it will crack after about 12 months
