Hey guys, I was coming out of the local supermarket today and I found this....

I don't think I have the money to repair this.... I'm guessing a panel beater would charge around a grand wouldn't they?

I am really over s**t endlessly going wrong with my cars.... The fact whoever did this didn't even leave their details gives me the s**t even more...

The car is so well maintained apart from the damage in the pics, it's almost brand new inside and the paint was immaculate...

Anyone idea how much this would cost to get fixed?

It looks as though theyve hit it going into the space going by the roll of metal behind the tail light.
How creased is the panel?
Oh, and yeh its pretty disheartening when s**t like this happens.

Well the major crease was where the long line of stripped paint is... If that was painted in white I could live with that because it's almost been pushed out.... The area closer to the tail light where it's all smashed in seems pretty rooted.

The other dents close to the tail light are from smacking it with a hammer....

Yea I would say about a grand.
How are you with body filler and a sander?

Whensomeone hit my old prelude I just got the dint beaten out by a pannel shop. Only a quick saturday job. $200. Then I boged it and sanded it and just primed it. First car.
But it looks sorta straight. If you can sand it back, bog it and straighten it out you could probably get it painted for a couple hundred.

All depends on how good you are at it tho.

I suck at it but I had a go (please keep in mind I was in a rush and I did this in about an hour and a half, so I know it's still s**t)

I'll do it properly when I have some time off school and work

Anyway, here it is now...

Yea gotta take more time man. If you gave it another hour or so you'd get it looking better.

Do it again now.! Kidding dosnt look to bad man.

Nah man, if you want a new rear 1/4 it needs to be cut out and welded in.

Cheers man, I am suspended from school so I'm gunna give it a proper crack tomorrow. The attempt the other day was really rushed and I just wanted it all the same color and the bare metal covered to prevent rust.

Yeah man I've got all day tomorrow while the GF is at school so hopefully I can get it right. I'll have some pics up by Friday.

Thanks for all the replies everyone.

Bloody Queenslanders... I noticed residents of your area have some parking issues. My parents have copped a fair few marks and dents since moving there as well.

Surely the supermarket/shopping centre would possibly have some camera footage of the incident and you can go rape the owner of the car that did the damage.. I always noticed a fair few cameras in the carparks around there... Too many theives we've learnt. :?
