Just asking for a couiple of opitions on wheels spacers. now ive heared alot of bad things bout spacers but yet havent had any trouble with them myself. the reason i got spacers was cos i saw these nice wheels i like but they didnt make them to fit the E series falcon the offset was too big. so i got spacers to make them fit and havent had any trouble.
What are your opitions???

your all whingers basically some states its legal and others its illegal but half legal due to stupid regulatoins. long as you get "adapters" which bolt onto your hub first then your wheel onto them with strengthened studs apparently and they're ADR approved its legal ive been told . who knows. few people run them, including me and havent had any issues currently and i give my car a beating and even terroristghia does the same and we're good so far.. the better part of hub adapters is that you can get a larger range of wheels for your car too. |

engineer told me that hub adaptors that bolt on are fine... porsche have been running an "adaptor" program for over 30 years so their owners could upgrade to different rim and tyre sizes all the time.
insurance says that its fine as long as the RTA says its fine. Handed in engineer certificate to RTA, they said hub adaptors are fine....spacers no matter how small however aren't any good as they can snap the wheelstuds when taking sharp corners causing the wheel to fly off and hit a pedestrian... thing to note with hub adaptors: Must have a shoulder or lip to support the wheel. Centreball width must be matching to the hub adaptors shoulder. Wheelstuds must not take the weight of the car. I've seen adaptors without a shoulder on it, and they look about as safe as a primed grenade in your hand.
