was told by some panel beaters it isnt worth it, just get a new bootlid. of course they could have been lazy and not wanted to do the job, then again im lazy too, hence the reason my bootlid has 3 holes filled with bog :D

you'd really need to get it welded up, im thinking bog would just fall out after a while. probably easier to get another AU bootlid and just get it painted

just put a drop of weld in it. File it down then bog it and paint. easy.

I've had two cars that I've had the spoilers removed on. On the first car they used bog and it cracks with the first decent slam of the boot. On the second car I think they welded, but the bootlid got a bit distorted and sort of went wavy - they were a very good panel beater as well, all other work I've had done by them has been top notch.

If yours is black, which I think you said it is, I would go and get another bootlid and have that sprayed. If there is any distortion on a black panel it will be very noticeable.

Yep, I was just talking to a spraypainter, because I want my spoiler removed.
He said welding will probably distort the boot lid and bog will crack in no time due to boot being slammed...
He advised me to get another boot lid from the wreckers and get it sprayed. (which kinda sucks because I wanted the boot key lock removed too)
