Hey,

long time no speak... been heeeelll busy... anyway,

I took my spoiler off on my 2000 Fairy today and I was just wandering if anyone knows how much it costs to bog and spray the holes that it left in my boot lid, there are 5 holes all up, 2 on the left and 3 on the right (1 for spoiler stop light) but there is also extra paint missing where its rusted, or the glue connectiong the spoiler has taken the paint off...

I gotta tell you, Au's look so much sleaker without a spoiler :D

Cheers

I agree I had mine welded up and painted 3years ago and now it looks like crap so next I need to repaint this and the whole car may be a change.

Unless you someone like me who cannot find a bootlid in the same colour :x There are not a whole lot of Gunmetal Grey EF's around that don't already have spoilers fitted. I even tried walking up to a random and asking if they wanted to swap bootlids!

Check out this, I just got a quote on getting a bunch of work done including welding up my spoiler holes and respraying... http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... 850#677850

Razor, if it is any help I was quoted around $700 to weld and respray my bootlid... For $700, the blue tape can stay on there a bit longer!

Geez you must hate boot spoilers with a strong passion if you'd rather drive around with holes and blue tape!!!

700 bucks!~!! f**k that... im SURE you must be able to get a whole lid from a wreckers for less then that... however a link in an above post points out:

Quote:
- Prime and paint body kit (including front and rear bars, side skirts, door panels and bonnet garnish)
- Strip bonnet down to metal, remove stone chips, prime and respray.
- Weld up spoiler holes in bootlid, bog over, prime and paint.

First guy quote me $1200 for the lot and the second quoted me $1100.

and your trying to tell me u got quoted $700 JUST for boot lid holes?

I would rather get a new boot lid but I havent seen one in Narooma Blue for a BA yet. I was quoted $700 just for bootlid respray, but that is the hole for the brakelight filled (on the inside) and bootlid to be resprayed inside and out
