I have received an EA/ED blown plastic rear spoiler and was wondering how you place it correctly on the boot.

As in, how far back or forward? Or is a case of moving it about till happy with the look?

It's just that I don't want to have it change anything about how my car rides, or its economy.
This is purely for looks, and I like the look of them if done properly.
I already know there are those who think it's wank value only.

if its a bobtail or lip it will only go in one spot

It's a wing spoiler, the type that sits about two inches high with tips dipping down at the ends to the outside edge of the boot lid, three post and led strip brake light.
Any change to the air travel around and beyond the vehicle, even at low speeds, will change the low pressure area at the rear of the vehicle, this can potentially change the drag and/or the down force, hence a change in ride and/or economy, however slight it may be. Just because it isn't a race car doesn't mean there are no effects to the way a vehicle handles from having an air dam on the rear.
Drive your car for a set distance with all windows closed, then drive the same distance with all the windows open, there will be a difference in the economy and, all be it small, a difference in the way the car grips the road.

And yes, I know this is probably thought of by most as wank, but it is there, none the less. Ask any engineer

I just don't want to find a difference in economy that is going to hurt my pocket, just because I set the wing to far back or forward. The same goes for my tyre wear, over a couple of years this may cause some reduction in how long my tyres last, say by a couple of months. The angle, level at the top, is fixed by the design of the wing, though I could, if need be, change it.

wings made for road cars can and may effect fuel economy but have no down force and do not effect how a car rides and handles and will not effect tyre wear.
And i don't need to ask an engineer cause most of them no nothing about down force.
how would i know, well i make wings for race cars that acually work.

I ended up placing it so the outside curve on the tips the wing matched the curve of the cars body which made it so the rear of the wing is proud of the boot lid at about the same distance as the bumper.

Sorry about the delay, the USB controller on the mobo failed (over voltage) and took the card reader and wireless controller out along with it. Anyway, after some more spending of money I don't have .. here are pics below.

Please, I already know what some think of clear tail lights (legal or not) and colour coded boot garnish ... but I like them anyway

looks good...and ive also a white car and clear tail lights.. but the snowflake rims and the monster truck ride height now to work on... -never ends does it!?

it would look much better on a EF/EL cause its rounded. It really doesnt suit the lines of the car.
