Dad used to have old aircraft landing lights (obviously small aircraft) and now has Hella Rallye 4000's. They make everything look like its daytime and are brighter than his mates Narvas and IPF lights of the same size and wattage. You are correct. One needs to be a spread and one a pencil beam to get the best effect.

Lightforce are an excellent brand. My Geography teacher knows the owner, maybe I can get him to hook you up with some discount spotties

Yeah that's the one i'm talking about. It has metal written on the casing. From my experience Lightforce are cheap but not quite as good quality. |

Lightforce are a little cheaper than Hella's, IPF's etc. Our Hella's were $500 but they are down near $400 now. Im pretty sure they 100w but they can also be made much better by putting higher wattage globes in them (not that they need them). Also its a good idea to upgrade your standard lights with higher wattage globes as that makes a pretty nice difference to amount of light produced.

I used Narva Taurus bull lights on my B&S ute and on my old panelvan.....They were awesome lights with a good selection of coloured lenses for them.
These days if you want the best go for Lighforce.

If you want something cheap thats reasonable go for NANE. I got a 100watt set for $150. Not too bad. Shell and brackets are made of steel. They don't have a pencil beam and wide beam but do a good job for the $$$.

Those Hella Rally lights are good. Repco switched from narva to Hella a couple years ago, but they still get in the Hella Rally's as Narva doesn't have anything equal to them!

I've put Narva Ultimas on my Musso, there 100w, not too bad, it really depends on your budget tho.. Pencil beam is for the long range & broad is for throwing the light out to the passenger side.. Prob best to run the combination where you are..

It was my Mrs's choice, I would of brought an AU Fairmont or XR8. Pretty impressed by the Musso, Merc Engine & Gear Box, heaaps of power for a heavy car, 165kw, real smooth reving engine. AWD is awesome for traction, can hold it flat around a corner in the wet & it doesn't slide at all.. So makes it a real good family car.. Nice inside, elec windows, climate control etc.. On the downside, it's pretty thirsty, 15l/100km & the engines leak oil from the timing cover
