Cheers man. I dont have much choice. It seems that most people near where I am going to me living have at least 6 wheels when they have 17 inch of bigger rims. I want big but not the hassel of having 6. So why not fit the chaser style rims on to my car seeing as its an ex taxi anyways

The cheap/nasty way is to find a set of 4x4 wheels, like a sunraysia or similar. Cut the centre out and fit the centres out of the ford rims. Make sure you get the offset OK, and make sure it stays centred when you weld it. Do a google search on this, I have seen a tech on ford muscle.com or similar.
Good luck.

I have made some calls and it appears that 16x8 is as big as I can go if I stay with 16's. around 175 bucks a wheel doesnt sound to bad either

all this effort with a 'custom' bodykit and you're going to run steel wheels?

I am still looking at wheels, but for normal driving there is nothing wrong with steelies. I was toying with the idea prior to getting the 20's. In my perfect world I would like a set of pre au copy BA or BF gt wheels and air bag suspension, but things like that need to be budgeted for and more information collected. I have spoken to 2 mechanics and a wheel shop near where I am moving to and all have said I would be stupid to run any wheel wheer I need less then a 65 profile tire for every day driving. They just wont last.
Plus if I am going to the trouble to be unique why not extend that to the wheels. I am even considering terry steelies |

steelies do not equal unique.

I had FTR's and got rid of them for the 20's. Widened steelies might be a little bit when on an ex taxi wagon with a body kit. You need to remember that this car will be getting taxi style graphics on it as well so steelies may go with the look well. Anything should be better then the busted 15's that are on it at the moment.
I think my wheel choice will ultimately come down to what will work best day to day. |

At least they are 8 inch wide already, you said there only for daily use, at least they are 99 percent better then chopping a rim up,
