Was looking at the globes for my headlights that apparently make them 50% brighter was wondering if they were the ones that were bluey in colour? any info?

I don't think like the narva or phillips 50% brighter have any change of colour in them. I think its only when you start getting towards the more ricey ones that you get the change. Like 6000k bulbs that are blue yet have less light out put. Unless of course its real hid.

But yeah the 50% don't expect blue if thats what you want.

Yeah i just looked at it and it shows them in the box with a blue tip on the end. Yet out of the box they have a brown tip on the end. So I dunno whats up there.

Id say 99% no blueness. As the 4000,4300,5000 all have a standard light compared to the new b ulbs where the vision plus dont.

They will most likely put out the most light out of all of them yet you won't get that blue look happening. Anyway the blue look is terrible on bulbs it looks like a stained white/blue light. You see so many people with them. I had a 4wd following me with them and it just looked horrible. Real hid gives you the nice look.

(would that include low beam?) and three of the four globes picutered have blue tips? can anyone else shed some light. would it be worth putting in as ef lights arnt the best?

Im preety sure ef has H4 low beam and dunno about high beam. It would be listed in the book in your glove box. I know au has h4 low h1 high. Thats for the base series lights. They will be available for both high and low for your car and they also come with a set of blue/white parkers.

HID with projectors setup for it gives the best look while anything else isnt going to look as good. With the 50% plus they are gonna look preety much the same as your headlights now just brighter.

Stay clear of the supercheap auto xennon bulbs. Also narva make a good bulb with more light from what iv heard - they are sold in repco and autobarn.

Phillips or Narva is the best way to go.

Also they are easy to put in as well should take you no longer then 10 mins to do all of them. Just pop the back off and remove the old bulb and plug in the new one.

I've got Phillips 'BlueVision' bulbs, they have blue tinted glass, but that's there to help whiten the light produced by halogen bulbs (which naturally is yellower).

If you do lots of night driving, they're well worth the $.
