Hey guys. I'll be posting some photos of my DF II LTD 5.0L. Just purchased from a some guy on a farm, it has been very neglected but plan to give it a new life! Very excited to get started. I'll post photos of my progression as I go. Great thread! Slowly getting through the posts. I'm glad to get another LTD in the thread!

Hey all. I just bought my first Fairlane and thought id share her here.
She only has 113,000km on the dial, is like new inside and only has a couple of minor dents. Runs great and I absolutely love it.

That's a nice find man, good job 8-)
What are your plans for it?

Hey gregrobinson85, I wouldn't call that rough! At least not on the outside. A couple of bumps and scrapes, nothing too bad. What's the engine like?

Engine is really good. Sounds very smooth and no noises, but im planning on pulling it out to do it up a bit. interior is coming up really good, im pretty sure it was never cleaned cos it was filthy. very happy with it. I picked up a v8 dl fairlane from the wreckers cheap for some spares so ive been busy making a good one out of the 2..
im looking at springs to lower it. I heard somewhere that I should have super lows on the front and just lowered in the rear. is that correct?
just a couple more photos to show the progress. Someone let me know if i should go easy on the photos because i dont wanna over run the thread :)
I also threw in a before and after of a headlight polish. those kits are amazing!! took about 15-20mins per headlight.

rooflining? although I'm sure it's not worth the freight.

hey guys, got home with my new beast last night
drove her from queensland all the way back to victoria. She's a 97 Ford NL Concorde with the tickford engine as you can see and I l think it came with the tickford touring suspension cause it sits lower at the front but when they removed the self leveling rear suspension they put on standard height springs so she sits a bit higher at the back :@
Never the less here are the pictures:

Nice concorde man! Told you that it doesn't have to be an LTD to look nice. Looks like it has a fair amount of features anyway.
Looking forward to seeing what you do with her

Thanks guys i'm so happy with the car, she looks and drives great
i bought the car off this lady in queensland and drove it down to vic. her mum had bought it brand new from the factory and had those sheepskin cover custom made so teh leather has been protected from day one. Cam with the original owners manual, and a neat book on the history of all the fairlanes and ltds until that year. Only done 130000ks
i don't have many plans for her because there isn't much to do haha
just going to lower the back so it sits level and do some work to the motor.
