Clean example you've got yourself there, NCIILANE :)
My NA SVO just blew a head gasket! It's currently sitting at my mate's house, 60kms away. Looking at yours makes me miss mine even more! >:(

Thanks McLeod, good luck getting the head gasket sorted mate. I replaced the head and head gasket in my old NA sportsman, don't plan on doing that again if I can avoid it!

Hi Mick and all,

Its been a while since my last post, about a year. The LTD has been behaving allbeit with a whinny diff, but thats been a while now and am in no hurry to spend the grand fixing it.

Unfortunately I have been loaning out the car to my son (27) and things seem to come apart in his hand. 2 window regulators, hand brake cable and now wing mirror. He has no affinity for cars and doesnt show the respect that older cars need. But have to say in his defense these were normal wear and tear that just seems to go when he frakking touches it. But the wing mirror is his doing.

Anyway Im after a passenger side wing mirror (electrical) in Cardinal Red if anyone has a spare to sell to me. Or know where I might put my hands on one?

Appreciate any comments.

No drama I will have a look in the shed this week and if I have one maybe I can drop it off at work in springvale so you can pick it up from there rather than having to come out to Yarra Junction

Hi Tyler....and welcome!
It sounds like you could have a DC LTD.....NC is Fairlane. If it has leather more likely to be a DC.
Check the rear qtr glass as it will have black slats printed onto the glass if it's a genuine LTD, plus a host of other extra's such as woodgrain shifter, window switch and stereo surround, velour interior trim, leather and carpeted kick panels and the rear seat will have a big LTD badge embroidered into the centre of it......+ a few other extra's the fairlanes don't have.
Or you could just check the compliance plate
Can't help you with loading pic's from a mobile phone.....never tried it myself!
Cheers,
Mick

Hey Tyler,

170k for an NC, that's a steal especially in a V8. Look forward to your photos :)

I think AWESOME! Can't beat a Clevo in an early 80s Aussie Ford. Makes me miss my ZJ...

kensback82: Very nice mate! Also, I'm liking your plans for it too, especially the old school wheels (not big, modern wheels!). I've always loved the tail lights on these things 8-)

So it's been a while since I've updated but my NA SVO didn't actually have a blown head gasket (thankfully). I can't actually remember what the problem was now, it was too long ago
I've got to put pictures up of my car one of these days. Maybe I'll wait until I buy myself some low. I've got my eyes on a set of super lows going for a nice price.
