or xr's. I have seen more than a few with the momo wheel. I think back in the day people prefered to option up a fairmont ghia rather than buy a fairlane or LTD.

MRE-50L forgive me if i am wrong but in the pics you have posted is your LTD seen wearing 3 different sets of rims?

Exhaust is worth doing, it is really sad when you have the stock exhaust and a 6banger sounds more like a V8 than the V8 does
One of my first changes to the NC, i just have the rear muffler, no middle muffler, sounds nice and doesnt drone. One day I'll get round to doing headers.

Come on Guys i know there are more NC/DC's out there more pics. . .

Just noticed all you fella's have your mudflaps removed  . Think I might remove mine this weekend to see what I prefer. Bit worried about stone chips and tar spray though. My paint is in top nic and not sure if I want to risk damage for a little cosmetic gain. Have you guys got much damage around your lower panels from stone chips/tar etc?

with mud flap remove if your worried about getting stone chips, you can get a clear coat can of stone guard, when i worked at a smah repairs we use to use that allot for people that used to remove the mud flaps so they would not get snot chips on the slls and rear side of the gards and the very lower part of the front gards.

Its also good to do the inside of Utes, and inside of wheel wells

I know what you mean. The sls failed on mine just before xmas and I was driving around with it dragging it's a** everywhere. I was scrubbing out everywhere and the rear flaps are now about an inch shorter than they were originally. I had the rear suspension upgraded to pedders before new years (the front already had pedders) and p****d off the sls. I only had standard height fitted for now as I didn't have the cash to lower her all round. Still looks fine IMO though. After scrubbing out everywhere when sls failed it kinda turned me off lowering for now as it is the missus daily driver.

Just when we were starting to get a couple of fellow NC/DC owners, you loose your ride. Again mate, Tough luck champ. Glad to hear you weren't hurt. Can't wait to see what's next on the drawing board.
For those of you watching this post and missed MRE-50L's news here's the link. http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... highlight=

OK, I'm convinced. I will wait until I can source some of the clear coat that BuNtEr suggested before removing.

During a break in the weather today, I decided to remove the mudflaps from the Lane to see how it would look. Feel free to comment ( on the mud flaps  , the first person to tell me it needs to be dumped on it's guts, I will hunt you down, cut your nuts off and wear them as ear rings  )

I liked the look, but practicality won. Looks good, Thought about a lift kit and some large profile tyres? Good things come to those that wait :)

very f**k funny! I figured I would fit the 4wd kit like those old falcon utes that use to run around. At least it would be unique. Would definately attract some attention down on the beach Eh!
