Yeah, I've chatted online with the guy that owns that one. Apparently it's what Mick Webb referred too as the "Geno pack", with a white on white paint scheme and black leather trim. It was also converted too manual by SVO too. Very cool and even more rare than the already rare 'standard' SVO Fairlane.

if you were refering to my reply :?:

i was told that the original k-member was changed to an EF/EL due to the original being trimmed for the AU block. which is a pity

Hey All,

Doesnt look like this thread is that active anymore but i owned an NC lane back in 2008/09 and it was my pride and joy, anyway long story short i wrecked it for $50...

fast forward 7 years and a sneaky little DA LTD happened to make its way to me for a mere $600, how could i say no?
She needs a bit of work and ive already had a major service on her (shes running better since) but muffler needs replacing, there was stale fuel in there ect. (usual problems from a car sitting for 6 months)
I'll put some pics up later along with some plans of what i want to do with it.
Hope theres still life in this thread.. i wanna see more of all yours!

Yeah Its gotten quieter in here over the past 2 years.

I hardly get any notifications on topics now, this one was a bit of a surprise.

A couple of pics to encourage you though..

Running short of funds to get the exhaust fitted... Should have gotten the exhaust kit complete instead of trying to save on the new cats.. Damn 250 each is stupidly expensive though...

Itll get there though..

Mad2: Yeah, mate - I was replying to you.
I didn't know that about that about the K-member. He did tell me it had an AU motor and an auto before he bought it. He then returned it back to a manual and built a motor from ED XR6.

Mr Josh LTD: Nice score on the DA LTD, mate. Look forward to pictures.
Odd question, but does your's still have the original parcel shelf speaker covers? I'm interested in them if you'd want to sell them. I'm going for an original look for my car. Mine's a NA Fairlane but it came with a few LTD options. I want to complete the list :P

Lowlane7: Looks like those fine vehicles have been sitting a while. Same with mine, for the same reasons :P

My update:
My original plan was to get my SVO wheels professionally modified to the rough sizes of 17x8 up front and 17x10 in the rear. I wanted 17 inch wheels because they'll have to clear a future big brake kit. I also wanted wider wheels, simply for aesthetics. I didn't want to just change to a different style of wheel though.

But, I found these online going for a low price and thought I'd might as well get them.
They are 17x8 modified, non genuine SVO wheels (they're probably off of a XR Sprint).
The centres had been cut out and welded into 17 inch barrels. The SVO logos are actually just fender badges too, haha. Why who ever modified these didn't just use genuine SVO wheels is beyond me. They've actually gone to the effort of sinking the badge into the face of the wheel, so they're flush with the surface, as well as a few other changes.
The offset if different too; so I'll need small spaces to be able to fit the centre caps on.

They're certainly not perfect but hopefully they'll be okay for now. I'll most likely still modify my own and sell these down the track.

The car is off the road, so before it's ready to hit it again, I'll definitely get the wheels checked out to see if they're structurally okay.

It is the downsides to the LTD's, the wreckers know they are hard to come by and want money to reflect that.

I dont think so being a Commodore one.. Probably has a different spline/depth/diameter and possibly the contacts for the horn too.

Just dont force it on, see how you go.

Nice woodgrain wheel too.
