A couple of more shots, without the ice, in warm old Newcastle. Only real change since the post in FEB 2009 are the white plates. Still not lowered. Its coming. Reconditioned Auto transmission also. Nice and smooth now and no 5 second delay getting into reverse!!! Drove to Crookwell the other week about 450 k's and it was a dream on the freeway. I even had to drive on about 15 K's of dirt roadworks to get to my mates farm. Low profile tyres do not like soft dirt. It was all over the place and traction was well bad. Only lasted aboyt 500ms where it was really bad. The road will be all bitumen next time apart from about a km to his farm. Anyway enjoy your Fairlaine/LTD I know I enjoy mine.

Hi Guys, newbie here. Read the whole thread. I was looking for dedicated LTD threads and was brought here. I have a passion for DC models and especially the DCII V8. I love the box shape which turns me off all other models like the DF and later models. I currently have 2 DC's recently got so not worked on.

So my initial question is, is there any forum or category dedicated to the DC? or just bit and pieces here and there.

Love Mics Lane, nice specimen. But was wondering why choose a Lane and build up to LTD standard with some small mods and not go directly to the LTD? just curious.

Pity about MRE's LTD. looked great from initial pics...commiserations.

Was never the original intention to buy a lane and turn it into an LTD, it just happened that way. :)
