Well I have 3 teenage kids mate, and as the missus is running them around in the Lane ATM, dirty shoes and especially mud when the weather is as bad as it has been lately take it's toll on the rear mats and carpet over the centre hump. My "original" carpet is still in pretty good condition and I'd like to keep it that way, so I do see a very good point of having a full rear mat :P

Go get some 4wd mats there rubber and catch all the mud and sand like a bucket might save your carpet

Dan

No rubber mats. Although floor mats serve an important task, they still have to look good.

They look great! Wish I still had a 351, I'd be in for a set of those as well. Good bloody price too

wow, after looking at a few cars in here, i am really thinking about selling my wagon and getting a fairlane.
the ones that really stood out for me are the black NC's
how hard would it be to come across a Black NC V8 with a sunroof?
also how comman are leather seats on them? i have a bit of thing for leather. lol

Do it mate! They are a great car  I just sold a mint NA two-tone sportsman with Leather and Sunroof for just over $800, will make a great base for a quality build as it is off to finish her days as a wedding car :D
I'll keep my eye out for a black one. I use to search all the for sale sites and ebay for NC/DC's and post them on here and I'm pretty sure there were a couple of black ones that come up from time to time. Once you've driven a Fairlane you'll never look back :P
See boys, I have come to my senses.....nothing like a V8 Fairlane/LTD with sunroof to put a smile on ya dial
Cheers,
Mick

Actually, speaking of rare finds, I found these on Evilbay. 98 LTD chromies for $400. Wish I had a spare $400 atm, I would snap these up :(

And I'm seriously considering going into business. These will be examples of what I could be doing weekends, but will be a job for the missus during the week
