I know it's an old post but I just had to say AARGH!

That's so damn close to what mine looked like after my crash!

I fixed it though, as you can see in my thread, took a spare car, a drill, and a welder!

That really sucks though

oh my sweet little baby lord Jesus in a cradle lined with hay!

It's so ugly I....like it!
It's a rats nest but with some work that would come up nice.

I LOVE the look of '80s engineering (the carby mount and "intake" plenum)

bit much asking for it though even if it has a fame story with it.

just put a deposit on my latest E/N series... im up to my 5th now.. this 1 is an NC Fairlane Ghia 5ltr.. 1 question is... Super Low or Ultra Low springs.. im leaning 2wards Ultras.. any thoughts? next question... exhaust? twin 2 1/4" or twin 2 1/2"? not looking for outright performance.. just a nice note?

here is a current pic of mine with stockies, SL's and twins

I do have an empty LPG tank in the boot.....not sure that would make a huge difference to the height though considering how stiff the king springs are :?
Should give you a bit of an idea and if you're considering putting rims over 17's, I think they would tuck the guards nicely

wot do u guys thing about spray tinting taillights and side indicators???
i think it'll look nice with the 5% tint and dark wheels

I think spray tinting the tail lights on darker coloured cars looks OK, but on the white, I say leave it as it is, the clear indicator panels on the white car looks nice.
Great choice on rims mate, anything 5 spoke on the LWB's look the goods IMO

I reckon spray the red bits of the tail lights and leave the white bits... that way they match your windows

Exhaust cost me about $700. But it's not your normal exhaust  Mine was a complete custom setup from cat back, mandrel bent mild steel with 6 hotdogs, no standard mufflers to be seen here.
Still sounds as good today as it did when I had it done some 2 years ago. There are a few pics and a video sound file in my build thread, page 3 and another pic of the section over the diff on page 10.
Good luck with it mate.
Cheers,
Mick

Oh, true. That's sweet.
I was lucky it didn't touch the chassis rail on that side, just peel the panel back off ripping the spot welds off.
I had to take the front of the wheel arch from the join to the strut tower under the water tank, and the whole piece the battery sits on, the headlight support and the top rad support to the other side all off the donor car. Lots and lots of spotwelds to drill and re weld but easy enuff.

aah, there you go, my new thing learned for the day. I Had B45's pictured in my head as a different design, similar to the rims originally on it.

They sorta look like the old globes, but the studs pick it out.

Look sweet as anyway..simmons just work.

Do you stil have those rims were on it when you got it?

Nice Colour :P
Good to see you young fella's can appreciate a nice cruiser. 6 or 8? Guessing if your 18 it's probably a 6 right?

Rego seems about right. Green slip prices vary, but things like having full comprehensive insurance will reduce the price.

How did you get your hands on B45's  f**k rarer than hen's teeth!
