I already have a car in mind! I saw two LTD's today at Liverpool sitting in the rear of a car yard, and the guy said I could have them both for 2G! both sixes though - a NA style and a ZL style

ive actually been wondering if the 302W could come out of a NC/DC for my NF or if it would be easier to get a NF/NL/DF/DL with a v8 in it and transfer motor etc...i ask as all the V8's in NF/NL etc are in areas like sydney or victoria or way up queensland past brissy so i cant get em or they want like $6k for em

well for one your 18 so im assuming you cant drive a V8 yet. and 2nd where are these cheap V8's on the north side of brissy? i cant seem to find one. im going to the extent of going to sydney to pick up a blown V8 because there is nothing cheap up here

1. i plan to do a complete rebuild with dad and stroke it to 347 and the whole shebang and this takes time so ya by the time this is all done ill be just about on a full license or on a full license
2. my first car came from gold coast was the cheapest EL fairmont (almost nothing wrong with it just needed a oil change) for $1k with 9months rego...alot of dads cars have come from brissy and they are heaps cheap up there compared to local prices around here

Lane looks great 619GIE, and I love whitewalls.

You've obviously implemented those LEDs nicely, but still not my thing. That said if I see an Audi R8 in my rear view mirror with their factory LEDs, I don't even like that.

I bought a set of the LED lights as well......was gunna do the rear of the wagon, BenJ style :P
But since I am selling the wagon, I have decided they would serve a better purpose cabled tied to the inner poles of my camper trailer, connected to a single gang light switch and powered by a 12vdc 7.0A/h battery  Will post up pic's after my Easter camping trip!

There was a guy advertising on ebay ages ago, 0011HSV was his user name, they were EL style, but they are the same front as falcons, side skirts are the same as wagons rear bar can be custom made from two bars.

Hi guys, long time lurker and lover of LWB. I recently (1.5 months ago) got myself a very nice stock V8 DC LTD with immaculate leather interior and recently rebuilt gearbox/engine for great $$$ so thought I would share. I can't find other pics so this one will have to do...

Now..... due to a mix of some really bad roads here, pouring rain and night time and daydreaming, this is my baby now :(

Image
*&%#%^ Dammit by Forphucsake, on Flickr

The rear end skipped out while doing 60km/h going around a corner on some recently "fixed" potholes (the road was so uneven if I had of seen it, i would have been going 20km/h or less). Couldn't bring it back before it found a nice metal fence. Only structural damage I can find is where the bumper bolts to the chassis (ford-bodykits-f15/advise-on-panel-paint-up-and-going-again-t32943-180.html) It's going to be a fun time finding a new LTD front end if its fixable :(

hey and welcome. shame about the damage. and i know how you feel about the a** end sliding out. these big girls do it with easy. i have lpg too so the added weight only adds to the sideways force around corners th bumper mounts dont look too bad. undo the metal brackets that sit behind the mounts and rail fix it back to factory and find a new pair of brackets.

i know what you mean about finding ltd panels. i bought a full car to use as a daily but initial purchase was due to parts needed. shame your so far north i could have helped you out finding a few parts

Forphucsake welcome to the world of Cardinal Red LWB Fairlanes/ LTD's, not such a fan of your recent "mods" - ouch but I'm sure it'll get sorted out, I must be getting old (shut up mick) as mine has never let go in the a*** unless I wanted it to, yet everyone else seems to have that problem!

Also while I'm here babbling I might mention that I have some plans foe the NF over Easter and the following week, will be putting in pedders front struts to match the springs, putting in lower rear springs and Sports ryder shock to replace the std height and comfort gas in atm plus fitting a 24mm rear bar that I recently purchased off Troyman! So I'll probably lose it now throwing it around!
Oh yeah I have to fit a new inhibitor switch courtesy of Papa Smurf as well - busy busy busy me! you're all welcome to drop in and help too!
