Hi guys, long time lurker and lover of LWB. I recently (1.5 months ago) got myself a very nice stock V8 DC LTD with immaculate leather interior and recently rebuilt gearbox/engine for great $$$ so thought I would share. I can't find other pics so this one will have to do...

Now..... due to a mix of some really bad roads here, pouring rain and night time and daydreaming, this is my baby now :(

{DESCRIPTION}
{DESCRIPTION} by {DESCRIPTION}, on Flickr

The rear end skipped out while doing 60km/h going around a corner on some recently "fixed" potholes (the road was so uneven if I had of seen it, i would have been going 20km/h or less). Couldn't bring it back before it found a nice metal fence. Only structural damage I can find is where the bumper bolts to the chassis (ford-bodykits-f15/advise-on-panel-paint-up-and-going-again-t32943-180.html) It's going to be a fun time finding a new LTD front end if its fixable :(

 I just couldn't cope if this happened to me  I did loose it once in similar circumstances, and somebody must have been looking out for me as mine come away relatively unscathed :D
But it is very scary when the big girls decide to get all crossed up :o
Pity you're in the wrong state, I have a whole front clip here, except for bonnet.....someone has dibs on that so the motor doesn't get wet  , but I have to keep it just incase, god forbid, mine ever looks like this!
Good luck getting it all back in 1 piece.....she looks (looked :x ) like a real beauty. Welcome BTW!
Cheers Mick.

Thanks for the welcomes guys, I just wish it had of been under better circumstances :(

The 2 panels are fine so am I right in my thoughts that if I can't find LTD parts (not likely here from looking so far) that I can only use fairlane bumper, headlights and indicators? I need to get it back on the road ASAP so I'm willing to compromise for now until I get back down to Brisbane.

Fairlane, Fairlane Ghia and LTD panels are all the same. The only difference between them if the LTD grill, C and D pillar glass and the mascot (and the badges obviously).

Is your grill damaged? It looks okay in the picture.

Cardinal red is a pretty popular colour for these, so replacement guards, bonnet bumper shouldn't be too hard to come across. The only thing thas changed between NA/DA series 1 and NA/DA series 2 and NC DC is holes under the side mould for the side indicator.

Any NC or DC should have clear front indicators, if you're really desperate you could use NA or DA ones but they'll be amber. The headlights are all the same.

If any of that helps you out..

All helps, thanks very much. Guards are fine surprisingly so I don't need to replace them. Checking again and the grill only has one broken bracket that I should be able to araldite back together or something and it should go back on straight so this is starting to seem better each day, I don't even need LTD cause my LTD stuff is still good :D

Any fairlane bonnet with my grill and pedestrian sight on, bumper, headlights and NC/DC indicators and I'm done. That has made my day :D

Thanks very much.

the only thing with fairlane bonnets are there is no holes for the top chrome section. but if you just want it back on the road just fit the lower finned piece and leave the top chrome piece off

ahh ok, well thats still better than nothing and will still look decent until I can find a new bonnet. Or I might just use the fairlane grill until then.

EDIT - Just quoted $430 from wreckers for bonnet (no grill), bumper and headlights/indicators. I hate living here.

There's a hole in the guard for the indicator wiring to go through..

I didn't mentioned the side mould as wreckers typically sell them with in, at least they do down here with E series.

That's not too bad really.

That's like $15 per indicator, $75 per light, $100 for the bonnet and $150 for the bar.

Are they in the correct colour? That price would probably beat what it would cost finding the parts privately and possible having to paint them too.
