glad your alright mate
another LTD gone :(

almost had a head one just the other day with some dumbass in a toyota 4x4 he came out a drive way while i was coming the other way no blinkers or anything and he was dump struck or something as he ended up on my side of the road going the wrong way and i had to quickly take the NF off road to save it and i just cleaned it

it amazes me some of the terrible driving i see by fully licensed adults at the high school when i go to pick up my little sister as thats not the first time someone has almost ran into me just a few weeks ago had another 4x4 almost hit my side on while im parked sitting at the school waiting for my little sis

As long as you are ok though. :)

One less DL LTD left... Such a shame, that was a rare colour too....

Whats the replacement going to be?

No f**k way!!! That sucks big time Mar55s, sorry to hear about that. Your LTD was a mint example, bet you would be absolutely gutted about the accident. Glad you are all good though

At least it's one of those models where you can make a killing off selling rare parts, i.e. LTD/GT style woodgrain, leather interior etc. Keen to see what replaces it too.

correct, but my advice is not to sell anything off until you buy your next car and know for sure if you really dont need the LTD good bits anymore

i just sold my AU VCT ghia and let it go with everything because i wanted an XR8, but then ended up buying its exact twin with a V8 :|

now i have to go out and buy all the little bits again which quickly adds up

Pics F**k!

Agreed re getting rid of s**t too.

If I had kept more s**t off my Green NF I'd be alot happier right now. Front speakers, Rims, Mint leather auto shifter etc....

Then theres the fact I got rid of it haha.... :?

Damn, wish I had the coin, its a good buy at that price considering what they are worth in Aussie.

In NZ, people have got no idea what things are worth. On Trade Me (NZ's Ebay) I watched a mint condition AU Ghia momo wheel go for $175 a few months back, simply because I thought I'd could win it for $160 until some joker bidded one more lousy dollar without me realising till auction closed. f**k was I p****d off or what

depends on how you do it,seams will be raised and higher than wood, has to be glued to stop slipping and sown blind.

I expect thread, and mods. f**k nicely optioned too, roof, sat nav, 5.0. Will have to post up pics of the sat nav working, never seen it before. Can't believe they wanted $12k for it though. I'd pay it for a BA Ghia 3V, not an AU though....

Nice buy though!

Thanx for all the comments people... sad day indeed but feel reeeally lucky to be in one piece and able to tell the story.. at this stage i'm gonna wait and see what insurance mob is going to do... i've been looking at possible replacements that can inherit the bits out of the DL... Geez in October i had the trans overhauled, i've since done 8000 odd Ks... it's brand new!!!
Saw a Concorde online that looks pretty good... will keep you all posted

Mate! That sux big time :(

Glad to hear you are OK, hopefully the insurance company will write it off, they are never the same after a front end collision like this. My wife had a similar accident years ago in my XD wagon. Laser ran a stop sign and cleaned up the front end of the wag's. The whole front clip was replaced and front chassis rails straightened, but it was just an absolute piece of s**t to drive after that

What is it with the little micro fords wanting to take on the big girls :?

Good luck with whatever comes out of this.......a concorde sounds like a good progression

Cheers,
Mick

i tell ya what, you get an EL GT/Concorde wooden wheel and i'll swap ya :) .. Only plans are to service all fluids & filters, shift kit, Derale trans cooler, XR6T snorkel, pacemakers, 3" Rage exhaust, magnaflow cats. Then just hope the windsors are as reliable as the mighty 6's....

Yeah the price was way over the top, but i didnt pay anything near that..... however, after the costs of having it shipped here unregistered, day permit to drive it home, organising RWC, paying for QLD stamp duty, rego, CTP, standard plates it all adds up. I wont get much change from $10,500 :(

I was sort of stuck on what to do, because i didnt want to consider any BA's because of there questionable build quality, and the BFII's are way to expensive for my budget, so i had to pay a premium price for an older car that ticked all the boxes for me

And it yeah it has a few options, thats why i bought it...... its everything i wanted my old car to be. Im planning on removing the satnav,, and figure out a way to mount a portable touchscreen navman with an external antenna in its place.
