Thread Revival!

I finally got around to cleaning the NL up a bit.

-Detailed the crap out of the exterior. Still need to fix the stone chips and I'm not happy with the clear. Refinished some scratches, handy trick.
-Cleaned the crap out of the interior and boot.
-Fitted stereo.
-Bolted on ROH ZS Wheels.
-Detailed engine bay, fixed some water, oil and air leaks.
-Got the windows working properly. Does nobody ever lubricate them?
-Damaged the exhaust on a driveway. Getting welded tomorrow. It actually sounds exactly the same without the front resonator!?.....

Still a few odds and ends to clean up but its looking much better! Seems to go better than my NF 5.0 did stock. 4.0 Tickford engine and 3.45 LSD FTW! Speed sensitive steering is crap though, I reckon i'll disconnect it and take it for a spin.

These photos could of used a clean up in PS but meh.

Ash, KwikXR, 619GIE, thanks guys. Makes all the work worth it. :D

I doubt I'll do tint or bigger wheels 619GIE. I'm intending to replace it with an AU XR8, but if I can't bring myself to spend the money I may just keep playing with this. Limo tint and 19" Silver Argents would look good though....

Love your work mate! Thanks for giving the thread a kick along........nothing to report from my end and too busy with work currently to even find the time to get the Lane registered :(

Plan on taking into work next week so I can get it sorted

Keep up the good work mate, and get that AU XR8 rubbish out of your head........nothing better than cruising in your LWB loungeroom :P the V8 part I agree with though!

Cheers,
Mick

nice work SLO, clean engine bay is always a winner......... you could also clean & mask up around the BBM and hit it with some aluminium engine enamel, it will look better than new

Those seats are great, but damn i NEED that steering wheel !!!

If he honestly paid that much for it from Ford then he definitely lives up to his ebay username (that is if I read it correctly)

This Lane also sold locally for a pretty good price considering the condition it's in. Always had a soft spot for the ROH Chicanes. They set the old girl off nicely!

Thats EF007 selling the wheel. Had that Black NL with the FBT wheels.

I'm really starting to like the idea of the EL GT style black dash Facia. I have the EL GT Wheel, I've got the darker Concorde seats, and the wood.....I've got most of the black dash buttons in the garage I think too.....What to do. :?

Mick that NC looks beautiful. I'd pay 3500 for that all day long. Just the wheels would be worth a bit, love them. Looks like its missing its Leather wheel though.

I paid the same money for my NC. It's alot of car for so little. I prefer those wheels over what I have too.

Excellent Score Ross. Bloody bargain on the explorer, should give the big girl a little extra poke!

Yes your right that is my wheel....

Decided to part with my fairlane so going to part out the good parts which I can make some money back on before either selling privately or trading in as is.

Will be sad to see it go but have decided to move on and going to buy a brand new vehicle.

If anyone is keen for any parts let me know. Still have the FBT Wheels which I could swap for standard alloys plus cash my way if anyone is interested.
