Anyone done this?
I've been looking for an XB GT Bonnet for a while now, first wanted to do this to my EA when I bought it back in '98, Now that I've got the EF I definitely want to forge ahead with the idea.

Not the entire Bonnet but just the main section with the flute 'n' scoops, much like you see those HQ/HZ wackos (a complete disgrace for a ford part to be seen on a Holden) do with the XB Bonnet.

Not having access to an XB GT Bonnet I'm still unsure as to whether the EF Bonnet is long enough for a fitment or if there's too much curve on it.

Thoughts anyone?

I have done it twice, with both our cars, the Green Beast and the Blue wagon, both Fairmonts. Also in the process of doing an EB Bonnet. Check my Gallery for picks and there is a thread on the construction of the Bonnet in here somewhere

The difficulty with this mod is that you need to use a genuine steel bonnet. There are no fibreglass replicas. And finding a bonnet that is not salvageable to cut up can be tedious.

The white EB bonnet linked to above is mine, and there is a lot of fabrication to put it together. Luckily for me Paulc has the skills.
