They have been on the car for around 1 year now. To get the most out of them u will have to modify the reflector bit cause they are a different shaped globe (talk to hyena abouit ef/l ones). I was running HIDs in the standard EB lights and they were great but there was a lot of stray beam. I have now upgraded to the XR front with the projectors and they are tops

Tell you what though ... halogen behind projectors is much better than HID in normal reflector lights .... I have just ditched the HIDs (as they damaged my previous headlights due to UV radiation problems).
Now I have custom projector AU headlights running halogen globes again ... and I can tell you the beam spread is awesome for halogen on low beam .... I am finding I do not need the HIDs ... and the halogens cover better than the old HIDs did. And for high beam ... I have my big a** driving lights ... LOL

LOL Sorry, But I think here is where I need to step in. One of the benefits of Xenon bulbs is they emit almost next to nothing UV rays. That is why ALL OEM use them now days. Tthe UV problem is inherent problem of your Halogen bulbs. Also, If the Halogen bulb in a Projector was a better combination, don’t you think that all the manufacturers of OEM would have adopted that system in their vehicles instead of HID Xenon / Projector combination? Getting any retro, be it HID kit in a Halogen reflector, retroing a Reflector Specifically made for HID in your headlight assy, retroing a Xenon or Bi-Xenon Projector and get any of them working properly is an Art. Once you have had the privilege of driving a Properly Adjusted HID combination. You will never ever want to drive any other way. You would never need to have a driving light either. However, if you do an unsuccessful attempt of any of the above mentioned retros. You will soon get sick and tired of the poor result. Which has nothing to do with either the HID bulbs, Reflectors or Projectors. By the way, when are you going to finish your Projector retro?

I have a set of projectors in ... made by someone else ... but they are an open type halogen projector though ... but with excellent results though ... I am impressed by them and work extremely well.

Hmmm so your happy with it, i am keen to get this done as my headlights now suck really bad. When its wet its like i'm driving without headlights, its really bad sometimes. I know they arent aimed correctly but they are bad. So how easy is the kit to install on the XR's regie? (i should probably be asking brad this as you stole brads)
