On an EL, the "Tickford" and XR kit are one and the same!

Main reason why I will eventually put an XR front on mine is due to the better headlights. Even with an extra set of driving lgihts the standard GLi/Futura ones are piss poor.
Main reason I won't be doing the XR front for a while ~ $1,000 dollar price tag for the parts!
Either way, you'll definately want the Tickford kit anyways, so do that for the moment as it costs less for an aftermarket fiberglass replica kit than the XR front bar conversion does.

I'm guessing XR look is the XR front bar (quad headlights) and maybe even the bonnet with two vents.
Tickford kit is the bodykit/skirts, that often come on the XR's and other Falcons.

i reckon the tickford kit, or either just colour code the side strips and pull off the mud flaps, looks nice.

I like xr front - separates you a bit from the masses of standard falcons. Then again you look like every other xr6/8!

I can't say that mud flaps have ever made a huge difference to a cars apperance in my opinion. Maybe try colour coding your side mirrors and the side strips down the doors and clear side indicators. Since it's an EL the taillights will already have clear indicators.

depends where you live happy. My hasn't had mudflaps on for a couple of years, no chips. Dads XR6 hasn't had them from new (2y/o) and it hasn't got chips. They do more damage than good i think, when we took them off the au a couple of years ago they had worn the paint back to metal, so whats the point in them :?
