My rocker cover and belt guard was done in 2 pac (only way to get my colour). But I'm using VHT in black on my calipers / hubs.

Very happy with both.

That cover in black looks great, better than red, looks like a fake XR wannabe cover, well done Glen on the different look.

thanks guys. I like the red too but i had black left over from spraypainting my grill. Came up awesome, and i sandpapered the writing back to silver too. JC from fordforums told me how to do it. Pretty easy.

What paint would you guys use to get that glossy look for the rocker cover? id like to paint my cover, but not sure which paint to use. VHT, 2pac or something else?

VHT is just a brand doofus. prolly use VHT engine paint to do the colour then clear on top to get the shine and protection!

vht and clear even after sand blast and any other crap to clean is only goog for show, put it under some real high temp driving and see what happens.

Isnt that why you use the VHT?
High temp..you mean track or normal day to day driving?

I've VHT'd my brake calipers and hubs, It's held up over a year, even with numerous track days.

any paint even 2pac paint, or even out of a can, and then some clear. it doesnt fade, i jsut have house paint on my extractors and it hasnt come off, been on there for about 1 month, so was easy, and cheap to paint.

yeah it kinda like house paint in a can, its interior exterior stuff, ffom supercheap, its $2.50 a can. works a treat.
