hey guys, ive done a search for this and havent found anything... my question relates to the following link: http://cgi3.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dl ... stalled_on

I have come by a set of new headlights for $80, and im thinking of doing this, as nothing that reflects light has been sprayed, he claims it to be legal, even if it is not legal, the chances of being caught out would be pretty slim i believe... Has anyone done this before? im pretty sure he has used a combination of both Night Shade and tinting film.

I have also asked him this question in hopes that he will tell me! lol... as ive bought stuff off him before.

Cheers, Dave

well tinting them will reduce the light that comes out of it. so u will have to take that into concideration.

Where are all his prices???
I like the clusters he has for the ED>
And as for the headlights they look to have been done with nightshades.

It's not tinting, it's just painting portions of the inside of the headlight black.
Can be done for $2.

Some painted lights look OK, but I think you can overdo it.
Yours looks OK Reggie.
I am thinking of painting the headlight covers on my ZL fairlane. But I want a graduation just actross the top. I haven't attempted it yet. I might just do it this weekend......

yeah both of those look good...

click on his shop to check out his pricing, i got the cluster face from him, as i didnt have the time to build my own on the computer... $80 i believe for the cluster face

Voxace what exactly did you paint on the light? i know he has also got perhaps film or something around the edges of the light (on the glass) or something that wouldnt melt/stuff up with heat. ill also be doing my indicators to keep it looking even

When you pull the headlight apart you can see some silver parts, and some chrome parts. I painted everything that was silver and left the chrome.

Be careful with the chrome, if you use masking tape or anything to mask it off from the paint you risk peeling it off!!!!!
