mitch your about as funny as a f@rt in an elevator. suits your avatar i guess.

only takes that one a-hole cop though.

thanks brett yes i used night shades, just applied too many coats. light was cracked anyway. i used prepsol bout 2 minutes after & it made it more shiny n wouldn't budge. actually improved the look.
try turps tomoro, i'll use trico if i have to :)

i'd get a brand new set off ebay. if you sand them even with 2000 wet, it will take ages and leave s**t loads of fine scratchs in them

I think your lights look ok, paint your boot garnish a nice matt or gloss black to match your lights

yer i thought the same thing with the sand paper what a (unt of a job.
i want the fairmont garnish with the lenses so i can tint them. would look alot better, still won't help the defect factor though.

its only ea taillights. worst comes to worst u melt them, pay $10 and get another ea!

hahaha :D funny but true :)

i reckon they look great against the gold paintwork, but yeah ..too dark ;)

and like doofdoof23 said, alot of people sand back & buff tail lights to get a better shine and takeout the manifacturers print on show cars, better than buying new ones.

i do the same thing with plastic parts, like the rear demister switch in ea-ed they get faded because of the type of plastic. i start with a 400, 600 up to 1200 then buff.. just like new.
