I don't think there's any other country in the world that has such an active barter system as Australia.
It's what makes our country so great :D

Some 'ancient' cultures used booze (be it beer, rum, etc) as currency.

But yeah, here in Oz, it's not what you know, it's who you know.

Carlos,

Not trying to offend you, but:

Ultimately the car is registered in your name not the company tinting it. They will normally tell you that they have no liability when it comes to the police or insurance companies if you choose to have illegal tinting applied.

I wouldn,t like to use this excuse with the police or insurance companies

[color=red]Well said, but if a company is happy to tint your car illegally.
Be rest-assured they would end up pickin up the tab. Its there responsibility, they are the specialiasts, they need to follow the legislation in Aust. We are simply the consumer,

i have 10% all round on the XH.

i can see out of it fine day or night. the girlfriend has trouble but i guess she's not driving it all the time.

it cost me $150 to get it done. i told him what i wanted so he provided. yes there was no receipt but how else would you get something cheaper regardless of how dark it is. some guys like to pocket a bit of money even though they do do 35% etc.

If a company is willing to tint a car illegally, well its then there back-side on the line... they are the professional's! They are the one with the licensing, if they provide you with a reciept, and down the track say 2 months... cops pull you over for illegal tinit. Be rest-assured if you took the car back to the tint company, legally they are obliged to pick up the bill, re: re-tinting the car at a legal level.
If you are fully aware the tint is at an illegal standard, well thats a nother thing, but if you are simple minded... and are non-the-wiser! Its on the company providin the service, runs the same for company's lowering cars... ect ect! My first car got lowered.. pulld ova.. yellow sticker, went back to company..sayin.. hav a look! They fixed the bill...
Carlos,

i work in the tinting game and the legality of window tinting all over australia is that the two front door windows have to be 35%. no tint on the front window except for the top 25% of the window. all over windows can have what ever tint you want on them including mirror tint. iwe will tint to the custemers specs butwe also tell them that we will not provide a reciept for the work if it is elegal. we have had only one custemer come back to us with a defect. he had 15% all round and we stripped and changed the front windows to 35% and he had the defect removed. we usualy tint 35%-20% or 35%-15% depending on what tint weare using asit is very hard to tell the difrence in color. alsaid and done if you go 20% or 15% and you drive normaly and not draw attn to your self the police wont takea second look.
