Hi all,

My EL had clear rear lights when I got it... but to register it, I took them off and put EF lights on...

now I can't decide which I prefer.. car is artic blue. (Q9)

Here are some photos:
First the clears.....

Now the EF lights..

What do you guys think??? the clears are actually more understated than the red ones,, which looks quite nice I think... but the EF ones don't look bad either so I'm not sure which way to go..

The car will be shockwave blue at some stage so I suspect I'll have to think about it again in future.

I was like "clear lights are crap" but put them on the missus's EL and they look mint.

The clear ones look alright on your car, and we touch wood havn't had any drama with mister plod about them.

Yeah i would have to say clear I don't really like them to much but they look better than the standard ones on your car

they dont look too bad on that colour and wheel combo, i generally dont like the clear taillights, ef ones would get you less attention from the boys in blue though, depends on what your after, your car your choice.

yeah, everyone seems to have come to the same conclusion I have...

the clears suit the cars colour more than the vivid red ones..

To get around the legalities.. I put two ADR approved small red reflectors right down the bottom of the rear bar.... When I've grafted on the BA XR rear lower half... I'll probably put commodore rear reflectors under the lip... just so I have an arguing point with the cops should it come up..

Car is now fully registered and on gas...... so now the mods start... including putting the supercharger in.... :-)

I'm not a fan of the clear tail lights but on your car they look pretty good.
They go well with the colour and the chrome

I wanted to at some stage get some for my ED falcon which is bright red... and then i saw some on a red ed falcon and they look s**t... red car needs red tail lights... your car (lighter colours) looks much better with clear lights... i like them on white cars... stand out less than red ones...

Well I was ready to insult and say clear are gay...

But on that car I prefer the clear and it doesn't give off that stereotype look at all.

yeah... thats it exactly..... the red ones are too bright for the car...

at least they are not like the AU clears with all the bling in them.. . these are just more understated.
