blackjack_original wrote: Thanks, i went out today bought all my primers and my paint and sanded the bumper, putty'd up all the crap... sanded some more, and primed it....
Should get to painting tomorow... but you guessed it, when i was getting the paint mixed i forgot to get flexaid put in.... didn't even realise it untill now.... ahh well, i guess i'll just burn that bridge when i get to it.. should be fine for now, at least untill i get it over the pits. I tried sanding my old bumper with 2000... it was all looking crap... but than i put clear coat on it, and it came up looking identical to the rest of the bumper, i tried painting a small spot, same thing.. so i guess i can't really go too wrong... Thanks for your help, i'll post uptades and maybe pics as i go, all the stages.. when i'm painting, sanding, swearing and finally paying the profesional to do it for me... heheheh, j/k Ah well there you go, its all good learning.

blackjack_original wrote: twason, that looks tops... inspiration it is... Plastic welding might be better long term if there is any chance of movement of the bar at the crack. Better now than after its painted and on the car.
I still didn't get the bumper painted, was about to.. i was moving the bumper, and this crack i had fixed with bog... cracked again and all the bog fell out... stupid me, i guess thats what i get for not thinking... so it was back to sanding, and trying a different bog... but this one didn't wanna stick to plastick... so some more sanding, and now i pasted the daylights out of the crack with areldite.. that oughta hold it.. but now i have to wait 8 hours for it to dry........ live and learn eh... now i know what not to do... anyway just thought i'd update.. and vent a bit... god i hate sanding... Cheers TW.

Looks like you got a better paint match than I did. Well done, you must be happy with the end result.
Cheers TW.
