strip the clearcoat with paint stripper and should cost $50 per rim to get em polished professianly, then clear coat them yourself to make it easy to look after.

MWT in Preston do a heap of stuff with multi layer and multi colour powder coating on wheels, so I'm sure they could also help out with chroming/polishing and those sort of things.
They are on Chifley Drive, think the actual name is Mag Wheel and Tyre

Autosole Metal Polish works really well polishing metal up to a shine. It also leaves some coating thingo to protect it stop rust and that crap.

ok...apologies to voxace for carrying on after he practically told me what to do straight away...but!
LoL how difficult is it to strip the clear coat off as you said? would the tyres neede to be removed? and after applying the autosol(by which method i dont know) do i need to coat the rims in something else like clear coat again? if so then how would i go about putting that on. |

Well im not sure what youd want to do as far as clearcoating and such, but autosol is a polish which leaves a thin film of residue that should NOT be painted over, whether clear coat or coloured. Most polishes are super fine (and some not so fine) rubbing compunds, and are hence used to get super fine finishes. However, the wheel would need cleaning to remove the film of residue before clear coating. Ask the professionals
